In the rays of sunlight, you were smiling
The puppy sleeping on your knee also looked peaceful...
A little book was spread in the palm of your hand
And you softly traced the words with a pretty finger
I thought that with that smile, anything could be saved
Underneath the limited sky, it vanished
The memory of you at that time
Inside of the dream I made, I saw it
That sky was, already...
In the transparent wind, though in vain, I held you close
Even now I can't let go of you
As you look back at me
Underneath the limited sky
I repeat softly whispered words
Inside of my closed off heart
Even now, you're smiling as you were at that time
With the voices of children echoing in the twilight
Your smile slowly vanishes away
Under the sunlight, streaming through the leaves of trees,
she was there and smiling.
And the puppy was sleeping peacefully on her lap...
She laid a small book on the palm of her hand.
Then her beautiful fingers traced each letter of it.
I thought even just one smile of hers could save all my soul.
But she has vanished under the sky, and
I don't want to accept the fact now she is only a "memory" to me.
The sky I saw inside of my imitation dream,
Now it is......... all gone.
I held her so tight in the wind....she was my evanescent love.
And the figure of her, turning back to me,
Still, it won't set me free.
Under this limited sky,
.....she whispers again and again.
Inside of my lonely heart,
.....she is always smiling here.
The children goes home at nightfall,
together with their echoes of laughter......
If I stretched out my arms I could have reached your sad and painful smile.
When I close my eyes, you fade away in my dream and,
I wanted to hold you in my arms once again.
I will never forget the day, the scene we first met... never.
I will never let go.
